About CIDR Notation

Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) is a method for allocating IP addresses and for IP routing. It replaces the older system based on classes (Class A, B, C). CIDR notation represents an IP address and its associated network mask, written as xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/n, where n is the number of leading 1-bits in the subnet mask.

This calculator helps you determine various network parameters based on a given IP address and CIDR prefix.
